BuildBio started with a simple frustration: you see an incredible build and there's no easy way to know what's on it. We fixed that.
BuildBio exists to give every modified vehicle its own digital identity. One QR code, one profile page, every mod documented and discoverable. No more forum digs. No more comment-section hunting. No more unanswered DMs. Scan it and know.
The aftermarket vehicle community generates billions in parts sales every year, but the builds themselves — the actual documentation of what people install, how it performs, and why they chose it — lives scattered across Instagram captions, forum threads, and group chats that disappear. BuildBio makes that information permanent, searchable, and useful.
Every feature, every design decision, and every line of code at BuildBio filters through these.
BuildBio isn't a social media platform. It's a permanent record, with a revenue engine on the way.
BuildBio was born at a Cars and Coffee. Blakeley saw a 4Runner with a setup he'd never seen before — clean lift, perfect wheel fitment, light bar he couldn't identify. The owner wasn't around. He DM'd them on Instagram. No response. He dug through forums. Dead ends. Three hours later, still no straight answer.
That's the moment BuildBio clicked. Every modified vehicle should have its own page — scannable, permanent, and complete. One QR code that tells the whole story.
Blakeley's background isn't Silicon Valley. Six years in automotive sales — he knows how people talk about cars, what matters at the point of sale, and what information actually closes the gap between curiosity and purchase. Before that, fine dining and sales. The thread through all of it: understanding what people want before they can articulate it.
BuildBio is bootstrapped, solo-founded, and built in Westlake Village, California. No venture capital. No board of directors. Just a founder who got tired of unanswered DMs and decided to build the fix himself.
