Affiliate Rev-Share
When someone buys a part through your profile's affiliate link, you earn a percentage of BuildBio's commission. Your rate is determined by your monthly referred sales volume.

Two Currencies
Choose BB Bucks (real cash via Stripe) or BB Points (merch credit). Elect at signup. Both track the same earned commission -- just different payout rails.

The Ladder

Six tiers. One path.

Your rate is based on your monthly referred sales — purchases made by other people through your profile. Rates are a percentage of BuildBio's earned affiliate commission, not the sale price.

How your rate is set: on the 1st of each month we look at your last 3 completed months, take your best 2, and average them. That average sets your rate for the whole month. One slow month can't drag you down on its own — and your rate never changes mid-month.

Starting Rate: 10%
First-time APEX members start at a flat 10% through the end of their 3rd full month. It's promotional. From month 4 your rate is calculated from your own sales history — it can be as low as 5% or as high as 30%. One intro per person, ever.

The 5% Floor
While you're enrolled and in good standing your rate never drops below 5% — no matter what your sales look like. Three quiet months put you at Starter, not out of the program. You leave only by cancelling.

Pausing
Twice a year, up to 3 months at a time. Pauses run in whole months and never cross into a new year — everyone restarts active on Jan 1. Paused months are skipped, not counted against you, so you return at the rate your best months earned. Sales referred during a pause earn nothing, and your APEX billing continues.
Rates apply to BuildBio's earned affiliate commission, not the product sale price — see the Affiliate Disclosure for worked examples. Rev-share activates 6 months after launch. Nothing on this page is a promise of day-one earnings, or of any earnings at all — results depend on your activity, your audience, and affiliate-network terms outside our control.

Brand-Funded Codes
Exclusive discount codes from the brands themselves, applied at their checkout. Funded by the brand, not by us — so you save real money at purchase time. Codes always take priority when one is available.

50% Points-Back
Where no code exists, you earn BB Points worth 50% of the commission BuildBio earns on your purchase. Indexed to our commission, never to the sale price. Points are merch-only — never cash, never BB Bucks. No stacking with codes.

Honest Exclusions
Amazon purchases earn no member benefit — no code, no Points. Amazon's program rules prohibit it, not our choice, and we label it clearly at checkout rather than burying it.
Your own purchases never count toward the ladder above and never affect your rev-share rate — the two lanes are completely separate. Buying through BuildBio never requires adding anything to your build list, and your build list never requires buying through us. Member Pricing continues even while your rev-share is paused. Activates with the Month-6 affiliate program.

If you earn $600 or more in BB Bucks in a calendar year, we're required by the IRS to issue you a 1099-NEC. You're responsible for reporting your earnings regardless of the amount.

Creator Ambassadors

Not a separate program. A rate floor layered on top of the earned ladder, held for as long as your status is active. 50 spots. Manually selected. You get in by what you've built -- not how many followers you have.

Invitation only. Your Legend-tier floor holds while your status is active, and status renews on the same 6-month cycle.
How the Floor Works
The Ambassador/Influencer designation sets a minimum commission rate. If your earned tier (based on monthly sales) is higher than your floor, you keep the higher rate. If your earned tier dips below, the floor catches you. You never earn less than your designated minimum -- even in slow months -- for as long as your status is active.

Status is earned, and it renews. Designations run in 6-month terms and requalify on the same standards that earned them: the traffic and conversions you drive, your verified reach, and a brand-accuracy and conduct check. Requalify and your floor carries straight through. Don't, and you simply return to your earned ladder rung -- you keep your APEX membership, your rev-share, and every month of history behind it. The floor can also be withdrawn for misrepresenting your reach or for conduct that damages the brand. We'd rather tell you that plainly here than surprise you later.
